The Women’s Committee Garage Sale was a HUGE success! We raised over $600.00 which will go towards community donations! One of the personal directives of the WC is to help make our communities better. In the past we have done things such as: donations to the Niitoiyis Family Support Society formerly Awo Taan Healing Lodge Family Wellness Centre, the Women’s Centre, Women in Need, the Veteran’s food bank, funding for period products for various communities, and assistance for our ATU 583 Sisters in need.

We would like to thank EVERYONE who came out to the garage sale. We had so many wonderful interactions and the entire day was a joy.

A special thank you to our Women’s Committee volunteers: Cheryl, Crystal, Roxanne, Rushton, Candice, Renée, Michaela, Sylvia and Lisa and their wonderful family members who joined as well!

Additional thanks to: Harvey, Dave, Harry, Nathan, Ian, Earle and John who helped cook up and sell the $2 hot dogs/drinks combos!

We also had various Stewards and Retirees stop in – thank you!

We look forward to putting this money to good use within our communities.
