An update on the assailants of the assault on our Member that occurred early this morning:

Calgary Transit has confirmed that two assailants have been arrested and will be charged criminally. The intent is to use section 269.01 of the criminal code as an aggravating factor for increased penalties in sentencing. The Union will be involved in this and intervene with community impact statements.

Unfortunately this will like be a slow process but we look forward to engaging any of the membership who wish to actively support this member and the issue of assaults against all members in general.
