Dear fellow Members,
There will be a major announcement today involving an amendment Ward 5 Councillor Raj Dhaliwal brought forward in Council today during the Route Ahead discussions. The motion is to immediately fund the installation of expert designed Operator work station safety shields. The budget is to a maximum of 15 million dollars and received unanimous support. Council meets June 3 to finalize the commitment. As stated since this recent vicious assault, we are not going to let this opportunity pass without making these much needed changes.
As our Member’s unimaginable wounds begin to heal, he and his family will know that their suffering is not unnoticed and that it will help us to make permanent positive changes going forward.
The media is repulsed by this attack and so is the general public.
We continue to work with the Crown Prosecutors office and as soon as these social parasites have their bail hearings scheduled we will let you know.
This is when we want to pack Kings Court and show the judge the impact this has on us and public transit.
