ATU Local 583 Thank Your Transit Worker Day – Contest Form

March 18th is Thank Your Transit Worker Day and as a thank you for our Members we are hosting a giveaway!

There are 5 paid days off up for grabs – you can see the breakdown of those days off on the form below as well as all of our rules for entering. We will also have 20 gift cards worth $50 each to an array of restaurants.

Entry is open until 14:00 on Wednesday March 18th, 2026. The draw will take place at 8:30 AM on Facebook live on Thursday March 19th, 2026.

Please note that it is ONE entry per person and you can only win once.

For those that win the paid days off, please note that Sunday’s will not be available for those days off. You are welcome to choose any other day Monday to Saturday with at least two weeks’ notice to our Financial Secretary Treasurer – Harry Lew.

**Please note that to obtain your paid day off you will need to give the ATU Local 583 office 2 weeks’ notice. Winners are asked to email Harry Lew at finsec@atu583.com with their chosen day off. The paid day off must be used within the 2026 calendar year.

***Please note the paid day off prize does not have any cash value. You will be booked off for your chosen shift and will be paid through your normal pay period cheque.

Rules For Entering:

1. This contest will run from March 16th, 2026 to March 18th, 2026 at 14:00.

2. The draw will occur March 19th, 2026 at 8:30 AM live on Facebook

3. Only Active Members in good standing with ATU Local 583 may enter.

4. You may only enter once. All duplicate entries will be disqualified.

5. Winner will be drawn using a random number generator on Facebook Live Thursday, March 19th, 2026

If you are on a Leave of Absence, on LTD or Supernumerated you can still enter for a gift card, please put LTD or LOA or Supernumerated in the Job Title field -whichever pertains to your situation.
