DO WE HAVE YOUR CURRENT ADDRESS?

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Although under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act we receive updated contact lists from the employers, that information is not always current.  As an example, with City of Calgary employees if you submit an address change, although it is recorded in some areas it does not always go through the entire system. This same situation occurs with Calgary Handi-Bus and Civic Cafeteria employees.

Since the December 2004 By-Law change to the election procedure, Local 583 has had a mail out Ballot. To ensure you receive a ballot we will need your correct address or you will not receive a ballot in the mail. To vote you would have to go to the Union office on Election Day.
   
If you did not receive the International's “In Transit” magazine in the last couple of months then we probably have an outdated address on file.     

If you need to update your address please contact the Union office at 258-1258 weekdays between 8:00 – 4:00 or leave a message on the answering machine.
